The app
Circle of Joy is licensed to you, not sold. If you got it from the App Store, Apple's Standard License Agreement applies alongside these terms; from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service do. Where these terms and the store's say different things about the store's own services — purchases, refunds, your account — the store's win.
The host subscription
- Opening a room needs a subscription, monthly or yearly. Only the person hosting pays; everyone who joins plays for nothing.
- The price and length of each plan are shown before you buy. Payment is taken by the App Store or Google Play when you confirm.
- It renews automatically until you cancel it, in your store account's subscription settings. Cancelling keeps it working until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are handled by the store you bought through, under its rules.
Running a room
The host decides who plays. People join by scanning the room's code, on the same network as the host's phone; the host can remove anyone from the room, and closing the room ends it for everyone. Names and photos that people add stay on the host's phone for as long as the room is open. Please keep them kind: a name or picture that would not be welcome in the room does not belong on the screen either.
The questions and quotations
The games are drawn from the Bahá'í Writings, from Bahá'í history and from the Ruhi Institute's books. Every quotation carries its source. Circle of Joy is an independent app: it is not published by or affiliated with any Bahá'í institution, and nothing in it is an authoritative statement of Bahá'í belief. What we do not promise
We work to make Circle of Joy reliable and its content right, but it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using it, from a room that could not connect, or from an error in the content. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law.
Changes
If these terms change, this page changes first and the date above moves. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
